Add a PlayMetrics calendar to UpNext Family

Check your access

• You must be able to sign in to PlayMetrics as the player’s parent, guardian or the player.
• Each player has a separate calendar. Repeat these steps for each child you want in UpNext.

Part 1

Copy the link from PlayMetrics

1. Sign in to PlayMetrics and open the player’s calendar or schedule.
2. Select Sync Calendar.
3. Choose the full calendar rather than games only, so practices are included.
4. Copy the calendar link rather than sending it to Google or Apple Calendar.
5. Keep the copied link private.

Provider note: PlayMetrics notes that Google and Apple only check subscribed calendars periodically. UpNext checks when you refresh, but the provider remains the source of truth for last-minute changes.

Part 2

Add the link to UpNext

1. Open UpNext Family, go to Settings, find Calendar Feeds, then choose Manage → Add Calendar.
2. On “Where does your schedule live?”, choose Calendar link.
3. Expand “Need help finding a calendar link?” and choose Other; follow the short cue.
4. Paste the private subscription URL into the calendar link field, then choose Preview and continue.
5. On “Who is this for?”, choose the family member and enter the group name and activity. Season and notes are optional.
6. Choose Review import, check the schedule preview, then choose Import calendar.

Part 3

Confirm that it is working

Open Settings, then choose Calendar Feeds. The new calendar should show its provider, upcoming-event count, and an OK status after the first import. Use Refresh calendars → Check now later to ask connected calendars for current changes.

UpNext displays only a redacted source address after import. It does not show the private path, query, or token again.

Troubleshooting

If the calendar does not load

• If Sync Calendar is missing, confirm that you are signed in to the account connected to the player.
• If only games appear, repeat the steps and choose the full calendar.
• If PlayMetrics is not listed as a provider in UpNext, choose Other; the link works the same way.
• Make sure you copied a subscription URL beginning with webcal://, http://, or https:// — not an ordinary event page.
• If the provider only gives you a downloaded .ics file, return to Add Calendar and choose Calendar file. That is a one-time import and will not refresh automatically.
